5 Adventures That Will Definitely Float Your Boat

Cruises have come a long way in the past decade. More intimate and curated, the cruises we’re crushing on in 2020 head to unique ports (that larger ships can’t visit) and include diverse itineraries. Check out five of our favorites you might want to consider below, then contact Undiscovered Sunsets to set sail in a style that suits you!

Epernay to Couvrot by Belmond

Think of this eight- to 12-cabin experience like the Champagne of river cruises. Not only will you literally tour Champagne vineyards during the weeklong itinerary, but you’ll also be treated to gourmet meals both on board and at the French ports. History buffs will also adore the tours of World War I sites, cathedrals, and museums. Contact us about 2020 availability.

Grenadine Islands by Star Clippers

Few Caribbean cruises don't make it past the US and British Virgin Islands, and if they do, it’s almost never to the stunning seascapes that this epic clipper ship sails past. This cruise starts in Barbados and docks in Grenadine, St. Lucia, Martinique, and more. Rather than flying to each individually, see all of the beautiful beaches at once on this seven-night cruise.

Even if you’ve visited one of these lovely sea-surrounded countries before, you’ll want to return to experience them in a totally new way via this eight-day excursion. Including everything from snorkeling and wildlife-viewing to beach parties and nature reserves (and Panama Canal, of course), it’s the ultimate opportunity to soak up serenity in nature.

Book soon (we’re here to get the ball rolling!) and you’ll be among the first to enjoy this incredible 14-day Indian ocean cruise. With more staff than rooms, you’ll feel doted upon as you sail from Mauritius to Madagascar to the Seychelles and other picturesque island nations. If you like, you can dive with an advanced open-water diver or go on wildlife tours with one of the experienced naturalist guides.

Since no roads connect the towns, Greenland is one country that’s best to explore through its coast. Only a handful of expedition cruises focus solely on exploring Greenland—and trust us, there’s plenty to explore here! The 15-day cruise begins in Reykjavik (which is a quick flight from the States, about six hours from NYC). From there, you’ll search for whales and seals, sail alongside glaciers and icebergs, and visit Norse historical sites.

Undiscovered Sunsets was a long time in the making, even if I myself didn’t realize it. During my time at the University of Northern Iowa, I studied abroad in New Zealand. Upon graduating, I bought a one-way ticket to France, lived with a French family and studied with classmates from Turkey, China, Russia, Germany, Italy, and everywhere in between. In 2010 I began teaching English as a foreign language. This job quickly took me to China, where English teachers were in high demand and within three years, I began working in a 5-star hotel, speaking Mandarin throughout most of my day. In total, I lived abroad for 7 years.

I consider Undiscovered Sunsets to be the perfect mélange of my personal experience traveling the world and my professional experience working in the hospitality industry.

I look forward to designing your next adventure!
